NOTICE OF LIABILITY - Face Masks

To: ______________________________________________________________________________

From:_____________________________________________________________________________

Date:__________________________

Dear Madam / Sir
I am officially informing you that it is unlawful to refuse service to a person claiming a face mask exemption.  That exemption being for a medical condition or not.  Furthermore, according to the law, that person does not have to divulge the nature of that exemption.
Imagine that you are a person who has a legitimate medical condition, i.e.: breathing difficulties, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, claustrophobia, psychological trauma, handicap, etc., and that those conditions are made worse by wearing a mask.  This situation is unacceptable, unfair and a breech of human rights.  This is the very same reason why the government has established face mask exemptions (Ontario Human Rights Commission section 364/20), clause (4): The person responsible for a business or organization that is open shall ensure that any person in the indoor area of the premises of the business or organization, or in a vehicle that is operating as part of the business or organization, wears a mask or face covering in a manner that covers their mouth, nose and chin during any period when they are in the indoor area unless the person in the indoor area,
(g) has a medical condition that inhibits their ability to wear a mask or face covering;
(6) For greater certainty, it is not necessary for a person to present evidence to the person responsible for a business.

I therefore request that, with immediate effect, you take steps to remedy this breach of the law and of my fundamental rights as a customer, and in that context, issue a directive to your staff and all such relevant persons under your authority making clear that this breach of the law must cease so that I as a customer will not in the future be subjected to such unlawful, humiliating and discriminatory treatment.
Be advise that failure to uphold the law in this regard could result in civil proceedings being issued against you and your business.
Yours sincerely
